Workout Goals….always include a smiley toddler! 😍 I workout to be a strong mom, both physically and mentally. I workout at home to get to experience these moments and because let’s face it, getting out of the house with a toddler and an 8 year old is a nightmare. And I workout to show my kids that exercise is something we all ‘get’ to do not something we ‘have’ to do. Yep, I use to be a gym rat but that changed quickly when little boy smiles became the best workout reward ❤️
I’m a woman of hustle. I’m a 3 on the enneagram; hard work and achievements bring me a lot of joy. But lately I’ve been listening to what God has for me and really surrendering to what he’s telling me to do: slow down, let go of control and let him take the lead. It’s been really hard for me to grasp because I’m a person all about chasing goals and achieving them and it’s always served me well. But I've come to realize there’s more glory in doing what he’s leading me to do. A

They watch me, they do my workout with me, and most of the time they’re ON me adding extra weight to the mix. 😂💪🏻 I truly feel like this is both a gift for Me and for Them. I've always been multi-passionate. 💙💜💚 Growing up, I didn't just do one activity. I sang in the choir, practiced gymnastics, played soccer, took art classes and even played the piano. That didn't change with time. I changed my major in college several times, too! And thankfully still graduated on time 🤪 I started as a pre-pharmacy major (taking after mom & dad), then switched to chemistry, then nutrition, then fashion (because my roommates were doing it and it seemed fun)

Flashback Friday to my 1st postpartum transformation where I lost all of the baby weight before Emma was even 6 months old (she's 7 years old now), and kept it off!
My goal was to lose all of the baby weight before she turned 9 months old, and that was while recovering from a c-section + breastfeeding! I know I may not have had the "biggest" or "best" transformation, but I sure as h$ll enjoyed the journey! I never obsessed over the weight, I just took it one day at a time w
My job as her mother is to teach her not to assume fault that isn’t hers, and furthermore, how to avoid blame or shame from those who are threatened by her presence, her intelligence, her strength. 🙌🏻❤️
I want my little girl to value her health. I want her to have respect for her body and ensure that she is respected by others.
I want my daughter to keep her health a focus and priority throughout her life, continually working on becoming the best version of herself, ph
Emma basically did my entire weights & loop workout with me this morning and didn’t complain once. In fact, she tried to beat me every rep... competitive like her mommy! 🤣

My two tips for making exercise fun:
1. Wear cute clothes (it seriously makes a HUGE difference)
2. Have a partner or community of support (you know where to find me!)

Before we had kids, we said we would NEVER be those parents who only take our kids to pizza places and chick-fil-a. We wanted to “fold them into our life” and not change anything. 😂😂 Ha! We’re totally pizza and chick-fil-a people now.....they should add humble pie to their menu. 🤪 Mama didn’t feel like cooking tonight, so here’s dinner kids!

We had rain, and clouds, and cold all weekend, so I did a little online shopping to help cheer me up! I'm so ready to trade in my leggings and long-sleeves for my swimsuit and boating season!! I know summer's a few months away yet, but I do have a tropical vacation coming up to the Mexican Riviera in April and I was trying on my NEW swimsuit to see if I liked it! DO YOU LIKE IT? I'm an ASICS girl, so when I saw these cross-trainers in my favorite color, I just had to get them!! And I LOVE THEM! They are light weight, fit like a glove and a really pretty blue! They provide some great support for my agility workouts while still standing sturdy during weight-lifting, too! 😊😊😊
