Do You Have A Summer Routine?
It's hard having a routine with little ones home and summer approaching ... am i right, Mamas?!? I guess life just gets in the way sometimes doesn't it?
It's ok though, I'm happy just doing the best I can. Life is full of ups and downs and we have times when we're not our best physically and mentally. My goal is to always try my best, but be ok with it if I'm not! Sometimes I just need a break and not beat myself up about it. Know what I mean?
Back in my collegiate training days, I was obsessive about it and would be so disappointed in myself if I missed a session or didn't give it my all or had to change up my schedule. I'd religiously train 6 days a week for at least 2 hours at a time and was exhausted. And that continued even after I graduated college!
Now my life is all about nourishing myself - body & mind, having balance and knowing when to just slow down and listen to my body. 30 minute total body workouts.. in, out and done!
It's not about being perfect, it's about being my best - whatever that is at that current point in time! And today, it was crushing this DCT-T circuit before I rushed off to play with my kiddo! You can give it a try if you want: 8 reps of each of these moves, as many rounds as you can in 15 minutes!
