✨ Are You Eating Enough? ✨
One of the biggest challenges for most ladies that I work with is getting ALL of their food in (aka eating ENOUGH calories)! I totally get that it can be hard to see your caloric goal and believe that's how much you really need to eat!! While it’s important to consider caloric intake (meaning you are eating enough!), it’s important to move past counting calories alone. Not all calories are created equal because they are not metabolized by the body in the same way.
Now, I'm going to assume that you are all working out daily... (if you're not, you SHOULD BE and if you need a plan, I can help you!!!) A diet high in simple sugars (Refined Carbs) may help you lose weight if you are living in a calorie deficit, but it won’t help you build lean muscle—which is the key to burning fat! Refined or simple carbohydrates include sugars and refined grains that have been stripped of all bran, fiber, and nutrients. These include white bread, pizza dough, pasta, pastries, white flour, and many breakfast cereals. Traditional diets focus on significantly restricting caloric intake, but they don’t account for the quality of the calories you consume.
This leads to a lot of “skinny-fat” people who may not look unhealthy, but are lacking in the macro and micronutrients their bodies need to be truly healthy. In my programs, we focus on eating the right foods at the right time for maximum results in fueling your workouts and your life...and fuels your metabolism! :)
