I was 28 years old when I started this “side hustle.”
Many of my initial weekly paychecks in my first year as a coach were $0, then $36, then back to $0, then I’d see a $104, and then I’d have a dance party when a check of $250 would come in. That income isn’t a crazy amount… but it did pay for groceries, birthday gifts, sitters & a date night out and reinvesting back into my business.
That income GREW each month and it really surprised my hubby, Marc when it PAID FOR our 13-acre ranchette 3 years ago!!!
I had just left corporate America HR to be a stay at home mommy to my new baby girl. I was so unsure of everything about how this business would work. But what I did know — I needed accountability in making my wellness a priority. I remember thinking “If nothing else, I’m going to be in the best shape and help others do the same. But if I can make this a business and one day make the same as my corporate job…. Wow, that would be so worth it!” My fear of not trying at all was greater than my risk of failing. In that first year, I grew so much as a person (which is worth more to me than the income).

- I grew thick skin,
- I quickly realized not everyone would understand my goals and dreams & that’s okay.
They don’t have to understand. They don’t have my vision. My vision of helping others walk into their closets and be able to put on anything with confidence, my vision of not having to go back to the corporate grind because my ‘side hustle’ was growing. My vision of then helping others earn an income for their families, too.
And ya know what? That is no longer just a vision because here I am 7 years later still at home with my babies, making an income that has not only replaced, but tripled, my little corporate job salary. And, even better, last week I had 3 business partners message me that they made one of their highest paychecks this year: One making just shy of $600 in a week and the other made just over $1,500 in a week.
